Day 1: Departure from Agadir and Arrival at Zagora
Embark on an unforgettable 3-day private desert tour from Agadir to Erg Chegaga, designed to give you an immersive experience of Morocco’s stunning desert landscapes. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains, where you’ll pass by picturesque villages and terraced fields. Along the way, you’ll make a stop at the famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient kasbahs and breathtaking architecture. Afterward, continue your journey to Zagora, where you’ll spend your first night in the desert. The evening will be filled with the warmth of a traditional Moroccan dinner and a serene atmosphere under the stars.
Day 2: Zagora to Erg Chegaga – The Heart of the Sahara
On the second day, you’ll journey further into the desert towards Erg Chegaga, the largest sand dunes in Morocco. This portion of the tour allows you to truly connect with the Sahara Desert. After a morning drive through rocky plains, dry lakebeds, and lush oases, you’ll arrive at the magnificent Erg Chegaga dunes. Once there, enjoy a camel ride across the golden sands, an experience that will leave you in awe of the vastness and beauty of the desert. As you reach your camp, you’ll be treated to a delicious dinner and an unforgettable night of stargazing around a campfire.
Day 3: Return to Agadir
On the final day of the tour, enjoy a peaceful morning in the desert, watching the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Agadir, making a few stops along the way to explore more of Morocco’s scenic landscapes. Itinerary
Departure from Agadir early morning with an interesting stop to enjoy the old ramparts of Taroudante city. Then, continue to Taliouine known as the produced town for Safran. After few hours drive, we reach Taznalht for lunch break; then, via Foum zguid, we will drive across the gravel desert and pass by a fossil site.
Our trip will lead us across the even plane of Lac Iriki, a dried-out lake in a solidary desert landscape glistening white in the sunshine in order to reach the immense sand dunes of Erg Chegaga where there are still nomads living with herds of camels today, you will enjoy the rough beauty, the endless vastness and quietude of the desert.
You will experience the constant change of light depending on the position of the sun that turns this archaic countryside into a bizarre dream landscape and where you will enjoy a picturesque sunset, upon the sand dunes of 300 mhigh and 40 km along. Dinner and night in Desert camp.
Early departure in the morning to enjoy sunrise over the Erg chigaga sahara desert dunes , before having our breakfast. Then we will head the road for a wonderful driving day following the old Paris-Dakar road to Foumzguide, crossing Iraqi lake. Lunch at Tazenakht village famous for antic berber rugs and we continue the drive to the UNESCO world heritage site Aitbanhaddou where you will spend the night in a Kasbah hotel.
After Breakfast in your hotel, we will start by the visit of the famous Ksar of Ait ben haddou. And ouarzazat
The ksar, a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat.
The houses crowd together within the defensive walls, which are reinforced by corner towers.
Ait-Ben-Haddou, in Ouarzazate province, is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco.
After the visit, we will have our lunch in a local restaurant.
Before start our way back to agadir passing by some Berber villages.
The arrival to Agadir will be around 7 PM.
